Samsung is following a trend of giving us last gen CPUs in its flagship tablets and given the limited competition there’s no reason to believe they will up their game. Expect the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU in the Galaxy Tab S5 when it’s released in 2019.

Samsung has been refreshing it’s flagshit tablet every year. Let’s see the release pattern since 2015. Tab S2 was released in July 2015 while the revised Tab S2 was released in May 2016. Tab S3 then rushed into February which triggered a change in the release pattern. S4 saw samsung going back to Summer for the release in 2018. Seeing how samsung has a lot of pressure from Apple tablets in the current generation we can expect Samsung to rush a little this time around and move the relase to July 2019.
